These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of SALT — Speak Any Language Today (the "App"), operated by Achieve Zone LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Nevada.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
SALT is a phrasebook-based language learning app. It provides curated essential phrases across multiple languages, organized into practical categories, with English-style phonetic spellings and self-paced study modes.
The App is provided for general educational and travel purposes. It is not a translation service, an interpreter, or a substitute for professional language instruction.
The App includes one language at no cost. No account, email address, payment method, or subscription is required to use it. The free language is fully functional and permanent.
Additional languages may be purchased within the App as one-time purchases. SALT does not offer subscriptions and does not bill on a recurring basis.
The App includes a referral feature that allows you to earn additional languages at no cost by sharing a referral code and by redeeming a code from another user.
By participating, you agree that:
Your study progress and unlocked languages are stored locally on your device. Progress does not sync between devices and cannot be recovered by us if the App is deleted or your device is lost, replaced, or reset.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store may generally be restored on a new device using the same store account, subject to that store's restore functionality and policies.
You may use the App for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
The App and all of its content — including its phrase collections, translations, phonetic spellings, audio, text, graphics, logos, icons, and design — are the property of Achieve Zone LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The names "Achieve Zone," "SALT," and "Speak Any Language Today," and related logos and taglines, are trademarks of Achieve Zone LLC.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use.
We work to provide accurate, natural, and useful phrases, translations, and phonetic guides. However, language is contextual, regional, and constantly evolving. Translations and pronunciations are approximations intended to help you communicate in everyday situations.
Audio pronunciation is generated using the text-to-speech capabilities available on your device and is not available for every language on every platform. Where audio is unavailable, English-style phonetic spelling is provided for every phrase.
The App is not intended for use in medical, legal, safety-critical, or emergency situations where an error in translation could cause harm. Phrases in the Health & Medical and Emergency & Safety categories are provided for general convenience only and are not a substitute for a qualified interpreter or emergency services.
The App uses Google Firebase for referral validation, analytics, and crash reporting, and relies on Apple and Google for purchases. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of those providers. We do not control and are not responsible for their services.
Your use of the App is governed by our SALT Privacy Policy.
Nothing in the App constitutes legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on information from our products.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Achieve Zone disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Achieve Zone LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App, including any reliance on translations, phonetics, or audio. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify and hold Achieve Zone LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any of its features if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Achieve Zone LLC only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
