ResumeUp Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2026  ·  Last Updated: September 1, 2026

Achieve Zone LLC ("Achieve Zone," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information in connection with ResumeUp — AI Resume Builder (the "App").

This policy applies only to the App. Our website at achieve.zone is covered by a separate Website Privacy Policy, and our other mobile applications each have their own policies.

The short version: Unlike some of our other apps, ResumeUp does collect personal information — because building a resume requires it. You give us your name, contact details, work history, and education so the App can produce a resume for you. We use an artificial intelligence service to help write and tailor that content, which means your resume text is transmitted to that provider for processing. We do not sell your personal information. We explain all of this in detail below.

1. Information You Provide to Us

Account information. ResumeUp requires an account. Accounts are created using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. The App does not offer email-and-password registration. We never create, receive, or store a password for you — authentication is performed entirely by Apple or Google.

When you sign in, we receive an account identifier and, depending on your choices and that provider's settings, your email address and name. If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address, in which case we receive a private relay address rather than your personal one.

Resume and career content. This is the core of what the App does. Depending on what you choose to enter, this may include:

Job preferences. Search terms, job titles, locations, and filters you use to receive job listings.

Support communications. If you contact us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

What we do not ask for. We do not request or store passwords, your Social Security number or other government identifiers, your date of birth, your photograph, your precise device location, your contacts, your camera or microphone, or health information. We ask that you do not include sensitive personal information — such as government identifiers, health conditions, or information about race, religion, or political affiliation — in your resume content. If you choose to include it, it is processed the same way as the rest of your resume content.

2. Information Collected Automatically

To understand how the App is used and to identify technical problems, we use Google Firebase, a service provided by Google. We use Firebase for analytics and crash reporting only. Firebase is not used to store your resume content or your account records.

Through Firebase, the following may be collected:

3. Artificial Intelligence Processing

ResumeUp uses artificial intelligence to help you write, improve, and tailor resume and cover letter content. To provide these features, we transmit the relevant portions of your resume content — and, where applicable, the job description you are targeting — to a third-party AI provider, currently OpenAI. We may add or change providers over time in order to deliver the best quality output, and this policy will be updated if we do.

You should understand the following:

You can review this provider's practices at its published privacy policy.

4. Job Listings

The App can deliver job listings to an in-App inbox. To provide this feature, we transmit your job search criteria — such as job title, keywords, and location — to a third-party job listings data provider. We do not transmit your name, your email address, or your resume content to that provider in order to retrieve listings.

Job listings are supplied by third parties. We do not verify employers, listings, or the accuracy of any posting, and inclusion of a listing is not an endorsement. If you apply to a job, you leave our App and any information you provide is governed by that employer's or job board's own privacy practices.

5. Where Your Information Is Stored

Your account record and your resume content are stored on your device and on servers operated by or for Achieve Zone. Our servers are hosted by third-party infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions.

Server-side storage exists so that your resumes are preserved if you change or lose your device, and so that you can sign in on more than one device.

Because your content is stored on our servers, it is associated with your account. This is different from some of our other apps, which store nothing remotely.

As stated in Section 2, we do not use Google Firebase to store your resume content or account records.

6. Advertising

ResumeUp offers a free tier that is supported by advertising, and a paid subscription tier that does not display advertising.

If you are using the free tier, the App displays advertising served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and use:

Depending on your device settings, your consent, and your region, this information may be used to serve personalized advertising, to measure ad performance, and to build advertising profiles across apps and websites you use. This activity is carried out by Google and its advertising partners, not by us. We do not share your resume content, your employment history, or your contact information with advertisers.

You can review Google's advertising practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Subscriptions and Payment Information

All subscription purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never see, receive, or store your payment card number, billing address, or any other financial information. Your purchase is governed by Apple's or Google's terms and privacy practices.

We use Adapty, a subscription management service, to configure pricing and paywalls, to validate purchases, and to report on subscription performance. Adapty receives purchase and device information — such as transaction identifiers, subscription status, device identifiers, and country — so that it can confirm your entitlement. Adapty does not receive your resume content.

If you need a refund, it must be requested through Apple or Google, not through us.

8. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your resume content with employers, recruiters, data brokers, or advertisers. We do not use your resume content to train our own models.

9. How We Share Information

10. Data Retention

We retain your account information and resume content for as long as your account remains active, so that your resumes are available to you.

If you ask us to delete your information, we will process that request as described in Section 11. We may retain limited records where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements. Aggregate analytics and diagnostic data that is not linked to your identity may be retained longer. Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google's own retention practices.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction. You can view and edit your account information and resume content at any time within the App.

Statutory rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to request a copy of it in a portable format, to opt out of certain uses, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

How to make a request. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us at support@achieve.zone. We may need to verify your identity by asking you to respond from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

California residents. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; the right to request correction or deletion; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information. Advertising in the free tier may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out using the controls described in Section 6.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you are located in these regions, our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract with you, for account and resume functionality; your consent, for personalized advertising; and our legitimate interests, for analytics, security, and fraud prevention. You may withdraw consent at any time.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls on our systems, and use of established cloud infrastructure providers.

Because the App uses Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, we do not handle or store passwords. Authentication is performed by those providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Apple or Google account you use to sign in, and for notifying us promptly at support@achieve.zone if you believe your ResumeUp account has been accessed without your authorization.

13. Children's Privacy

ResumeUp is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address in Section 15.

14. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. Information processed through our hosting providers, Firebase, Adapty, our AI provider, and AdMob may be stored and processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. By using the App, you understand that this information may be transferred to countries with data protection laws different from those of your own country.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will provide notice within the App or by email to the address associated with your account, and where required by law we will obtain your consent.
